Open Board Positions

KWIB is seeking women who are passionate about supporting and advancing women in business while helping shape the future of our organization.
 
Our ideal board members are:

  • Passionate advocates for supporting women in business throughout the Okanagan.
 
Experience that’s valuable
 
We welcome applicants from a wide range of industries and professional backgrounds. Experience in any of the following is considered an asset:
 
  • Leadership or management
  • Entrepreneurship or business ownership
  • Finance or accounting
  • Marketing and communications
  • Event planning
  • Sponsorship, fundraising or sales
  • Human resources
  • Governance or nonprofit leadership
  • Strategic planning
  • Community engagement and partnerships
 
Most importantly, we’re looking for people who are excited to contribute their skills, learn alongside other leaders and help KWIB continue to grow and thrive.
 
Time Commitment
 
Positions on the Board of for two-year terms. Directors typically contribute approximately 6–12 hours per month, including:
 
  • Monthly board meetings
  • Committee meetings
  • Supporting KWIB events throughout the year
  • Committee and project work between meetings
The exact commitment varies depending on your role and committee involvement.
