2023 KWIB Bursary Recipient

Kelowna Women in Business is honoured to award Annika Kirk with this season’s KWIB Bursary. She is a fourth year Business Administration student specializing in accounting and mother to two rambunctious daughters, ages five and one.

At Okanagan College Annika works with Enactus OC as the Head of Product Development for the Unusually Good Food Co. project and has served two consecutive year terms as a student representative on the OC Board of Governors. She also serves as a Research Assistant on multiple contracted projects including: comparative tax policies for small commercial cideries in BC, creating frameworks for lived-experience circles on homelessness in rural communities and how to manage a student-run social enterprise.

Annika aims to complete a law (JD)/policy (MPA) degree and is interested in specializing in tax law. She aspires to work with non-profit organizations and help to create fair tax policies that better serve minorities and lower income citizens in Canada. We are privileged to be able to support Annika on her journey.
