    There will be a 9 hole Texas Scramble shot gun start at 4:00 pm; Arrive at 3:00 pm at the Gallagher's Clubhouse
    Cocktails followed by dinner will start at 6:45 pm

    Please sign up your team all together adding them as guests if you wish to play with set people. Don't worry if you're a single or don't have a full team. We'll be matching up the rest. Teams can be up to 5 people. Hackers and above welcome.
    There will be a Hole-In-One; plus mulligans! All proceeds will be going to Arion Therapeutic Farm.

    Tara Roden will be offering a free pre-clinic for interested golfers prior to the start of the golf tournament. Just in case you'd like a bit of practice and a few golf tips before the fun begins. More info to come.

    There is a silent auction and networking evening to raise funds for Arion Therapeutic Farm. This is going to be an amazing event!

    Arion Therapeutic Farm

    Arion Therapeutic Farm's mission is to give people of all ages and challenges the opportunity to learn without boundaries, expanded physical and mental abilities, and improved quality of life through the healing powers of animals, recreational and fitness programs, and the serenity of nature. 

    We are collecting auction items and door prizes starting right away.

    Donations

    We are looking for some great items to auction off for our charity. We need these in advance so we can organize the evening. We want everyone to have the opportunity to promote their business; you can do this by simply donating a door prize.

    Tom Budd

    Thomas Budd has been in the investment industry since 1981 where he held various investment banking roles with firms such as Midland Doherty and Richardson Greenshields until he became a founding partner of Goepel Shields & Partners in July of 1989, and headed the Corporate Finance department in Alberta.  Mr. Budd held the position of Senior Vice President and Managing Director Corporate Finance at Goepel Shields until his departure in March of 1996.  On April 1, 1996, Mr. Budd joined the partnership of Griffiths McBurney & Partners (renamed GMP Securities Ltd. upon the completion of the IPO in December 2003) where he currently held the position of President until his retirement in July 2009.

    Mr. Budd has played a significant role in taking several medium-size companies public and has been largely responsible for developing many innovative financing techniques for independent oil and gas companies.

    During the six year period prior to joining GMP Securities Ltd. (formerly Griffiths McBurney & Partners), Mr. Budd acted as Financial Advisor on over 180 financings, of which 73 were as Lead Underwriter and 18 were as Managing Underwriter for initial public offerings.  During the same period Mr. Budd held the role of Financial Advisor on over 80 transactions involving various business combinations.  Since joining GMP in April of 1996 Mr. Budd has been involved in over 597 financings of which more than 284 were as lead underwriter.  Mr. Budd was also lead financial advisor on 196 mergers, take-overs and restructurings, leading the investment banking industry since 2000.

    Mr. Budd received his M.B.A. from the University of Toronto, a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of New Brunswick and holds the professional designation of Certified Management Accountant.

    Thomas Budd, a well known community leader, philanthropist and founder of the Thomas Alan Budd Foundation.

    The Thomas Alan Budd Foundation generously supports a variety of charitable organizations in his community of Kelowna, across Canada and around the globe.  Some of the charities Mr. Budd has supported include the BC Cancer Society, Canadian Cancer Society, Kelowna General Hospital Foundation, BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, Kelowna Food Bank, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Project Literacy, Rotary Clubs, The Terry Fox Foundation, Muscular Dystrophy, Okanagan Boys and Girls Club, Kelowna Gospel Mission, Cops for Kids, the Canadian Mental Health Association, SPCA, and the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign.  He has helped build playgrounds, has supported local schools and various sports organizations and athletes.  Mr. Budd also cares for children in other countries by supporting the East Meets West Orphanage in Kolkotta, India, the Watoto Mission for the children of Uganda and War Child Canada. 

    Mr. Budd encourages others to do their best and inspires success.  He is a passionate sports enthusiast, tennis player and car racer but most of all enjoys spending quality time with his boys and values his family and friends.  He is a man who chooses to make a difference in our community and around the world.
